This helpful video tutorial features a seasoned wedding professional discussing five things she would do if she started a wedding photography business this year.
Coming from Katelyn James, this awesome video tutorial explains five things she would do if she was starting a wedding photography business this year. By far, I think one of the most crucial and will matter throughout your career is having a good website, in terms of content, design, and speed. The website is the business card of the vast majority of modern wedding photographers and is where most of your potential clients will find you and make the decision whether or not to contact you for the next steps. And when it comes to that, a common mistake people make, especially when they’re just starting out, is to include work that isn’t their best. Sure, you want to flesh out your portfolio, but it’s far better to show five great photos than 20 decent-to-good ones, because it only takes one dodgy photo to sow doubt in a potential client’s mind, especially with how quickly people make decisions on the web.
