No one wants their wedding to be a snoozefest, do they? ! Don’t get me wrong, we have nothing against the dinner/dinner dance program that most weddings follow, but if you really want your reception to be memorable, you need to think outside the box.

And the good news is that nowadays, thanks to technology, you have plenty of fun and cool options to entertain your guests well into the wee hours of the morning. Simply scroll down and choose one (or more) of our favorite hands-on activities that will make your wedding one to remember.

1. Impression of life

LifePrint bring your photos to life! I know it sounds like something out of the ordinary Harry Potter books, but it’s true. Here’s how it works: Select your favorite couple photos or videos on your phone, then print them using your LifePrint printer. Scatter these images around your wedding venue at different tables or stations, or pin them to a collage. When your guests hover their phone over the photos (surprise!), they’ll start moving. Why force your guests to watch a boring slideshow? !

2. Air graffiti wall

Allow your guests to be creative in street art style. Instead of paint, the cans emit an infrared light beam which is converted into a virtual image which appears on the digital wall. It’s a cooler and more creative way to edit and share your wedding social media images.

3. Go back

No, we are not inappropriate. Kellee Khalil, Founder and CEO of Virtual Wedding Planning App Loversaid Go FlipYourself is a complete break with the traditional photo booth setup. “You can ask guests to venture into the outdoor setup (not the stuffy booth), dress up with handy props (boas, goggles, etc.), and record a video of 7 seconds which is then processed and cut into a business card sized flipbook they can take away in two minutes.”

4. Participate in a viral internet challenge

There’s no better (or funnier) way to get everyone together at your wedding than taking the mannequin challenge, for example. “It’s a great way for the bride and groom to work with their photographers and engage guests in a special capture of their big day. It’s definitely starting to sweep the wedding world,” Khalil says.

5. Cartoonist on iPad

Consider hiring a professional digital caricaturist to do quick sketches of your guests. It’s much more fun than having your picture taken. Moreover, they can save the cartoon to their phone and share it on social media.
