I grew up watching my father covering different events for the local newspaper in my hometown with his film camera, which was very advanced then. So I was always meant to follow in his footsteps, and photography is where I set my heart after receiving a little camera as a birthday gift.
Thanks to this experience, I learnt from a very young age how to portray a story and capture emotion visually, which I still embody very much in my photography. I picked up my very first camera 23 years ago and immediately fell in love with photography. However, it was not until a friend repeatedly asked me to photograph his wedding that my passion for these special days became far more. Since I became a father, I've truly realised the importance of photography as a way of saving special moments that, in time, will probably fade from our memories. I believe a photograph is the only thing that can trigger memories!
